Najaf: The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq and Head of the UNAMI Mission, Dr. Mohammed Al-Hassan, arrived in Najaf. Al-Hassan’s visit marks his first trip to the city since taking on the responsibilities of the UN mission in Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Hassan visited the shrine of Imam Ali in the Old City. During his stay, he is expected to tour Najaf and engage with various figures within the governorate. This visit is seen as a significant step in strengthening the United Nations’ engagement and collaboration with local leaders in the region.
