Baghdad The Intelligence Agency detachments managed, on Wednesday, to arrest two suspects in the holy province of Karbala, who were trading in counterfeit currency.
A statement by the Federal Intelligence Agency stated, “the detachments arrested the accused after forming a specialized team and setting up a tight ambush after luring them and arresting them in flagrante delicto, in their possession of12 thousand and 800 US dollars in the category of 100 dollars and (800) thousand dinars in the category of (25), all of them are fake.”
The statement added, “the counterfeit currency was seized with a fundamental seizure report, and legal measures were taken against the accused.”
