Baghdad: Secretary-General of the National Approach Alliance, Abdul-Sada Al-Furaiji, hosted a meeting with Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and his accompanying delegation. Al-Furaiji extended his congratulations to Al-Mashhadani for securing the confidence of a majority of the people’s representatives, underscoring the importance of enhancing the legislative and oversight functions of the House of Representatives and improving performance across various levels.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on discussing the tasks of the legislative authority in the upcoming phase. The dialogue highlighted the need for resolving critical laws and establishing a flexible mechanism for joint coordination between parliamentary blocs and committees. Additionally, there was a reaffirmation of Iraq’s steadfast support for the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples against the Zionist entity’s aggression on Gaza and Lebanon, along with full solidarity with their rights in
confronting such aggression and persistent violations.
