Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin stated today, Thursday, that the upcoming 20 years will present significant challenges, emphasizing that there are no assurances that the West will refrain from using nuclear weapons. He made these remarks during a press statement, highlighting the current conflict involving the principles governing relations between states and peoples, and asserting that discussions on hegemony are irrelevant in the evolving global order.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Putin elaborated on the transformation of Western liberalism, describing it as having morphed into extreme fanaticism against any form of sovereign and independent thought. He further claimed that the West attempted to deliver a devastating blow to Russia, aiming to isolate it from global politics and economics, yet ultimately failed in this endeavor.
Putin concluded by asserting the indispensable role of Russia on the world stage, irrespective of any decisions made by the leaders in Washington and Brussels.
He underscored that the global community needs Russia, despite the geopolitical maneuvers by Western powers.
