Baghdad The advisor to the Prime Minister to follow up on the youth and sports file, Khaled Abdel Wahed Ghebian, confirmed today, Monday, that the Gulf Championship 25 will contribute to lowering the value of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar.

Ghebian said, to the official agency: “The success of the 25th Gulf Championship will open another outlet and door to host tournaments and festivals, whether sports or non-sports, and this was confirmed by Prime Minister Muhammad al-Sudani.”

He added, “Most Gulf countries and countries of the world warn against coming to Iraq, as a result of negative media and incorrect assessment of the security situation in Iraq.”

He explained, “The value of the Iraqi dinar will rise against the dollar, because the expatriates will deal in the local currency, which will increase the demand for it, and thus will contribute to a decrease in the value of the dollar.”
