Casas: The well-prepared Iraqi team faces a strong challenge in an upcoming match against South Korea.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Jesus Casas, the coach of the Iraqi national football team, expressed that the upcoming match against South Korea is set to be a significant challenge. During a press conference, Casas highlighted the strength and organization of the Korean team, noting their improved gameplay and defensive organization.
“Our match against South Korea tomorrow, Tuesday, is very challenging,” Casas said, emphasizing the importance of the game for both teams. He remarked on the improvements in the Korean team, particularly their defensive tactics and pressing in the opponent’s arena. “They are now organized defensively, and they press in the opponent’s arena in a better way,” he observed.
Casas also acknowledged the difficulty of their group, stating that Korea, with its World Cup experience, has the highest chances of qualifying. “It seems that the struggle will remain between Iraq,
Oman, and Jordan, as they are good teams, but Korea is one step better,” he added.
The match poses a good opportunity for Iraq to test its capabilities against one of Asia’s first-class teams, Casas concluded.
