Council of Ministers Approves Doubling Acceptance Rate for Top Institute Graduates.


Baghdad: The Council of Ministers has sanctioned the amendment of decision No. (24285 of 2024), which aims to increase the acceptance rate of top students from institute graduates from 10% to 20% for admission to universities. This change will facilitate students in similar or related specializations to pursue their undergraduate studies.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Council of Ministers, in its session on Tuesday, has also decided to allocate 25 billion dinars to the Ministry of Interior. This funding is designated for the establishment of 100 civil defense detachments across Baghdad and other governorates. Additionally, the council has approved a direct contract with a Chinese company for the procurement of 18 specialized fire engines.
