Baghdad Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi stressed the importance of the international community’s support for Iraq in confronting the remnants of the terrorist organization ISIS, and preventing it from threatening security and peace in the region.
The media office of the Prime Minister stated ” Al-Kadhimi met today with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Mark Bryson, on the occasion of assuming his duties as the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Baghdad.”
He added, “The meeting witnessed a discussion of ways to develop bilateral relations in the fields of economy, investment, culture, and facing the effects of climate change.”
During the meeting, Al-Kadhimi stressed the importance of the international community’s support for Iraq in confronting the remnants of the terrorist organization ISIS, and preventing it from threatening security and peace in the region.
For his part, the British Ambassador affirmed the British government’s support for Iraq’s efforts in the path of regional security and calm, and its playing a supportive and consolidating role for peace and sustainable development among the countries of the Middle East.
