Baghdad: The Anti-Terrorism Service announced the arrest and killing of 49 terrorists during the past month. The Service highlighted its efforts in countering terrorism through a series of operations aimed at dismantling terrorist networks and neutralizing threats.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Service revealed in a press briefing that it executed 24 operations, which led to the arrest of 19 terrorists and the killing of 30 others. In addition to these successful apprehensions and eliminations, the operations resulted in the destruction of 32 terrorist shelters, significantly disrupting the infrastructure supporting terrorist activities.
The Anti-Terrorism Service further detailed that seven operations were specifically conducted to inspect prisons. These inspections are part of ongoing efforts to ensure that individuals involved in terrorist activities are not only apprehended but also monitored and managed within the correctional system.
