Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani commemorated today the ninth anniversary of the passing of Ahmed Abdul Hadi Chalabi, the head of the Iraqi National Congress Party. In a tweet on the platform X, the Prime Minister highlighted Chalabi’s legacy, recognizing his significant contributions to Iraq’s political landscape and his efforts in the struggle against dictatorship and tyranny.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani expressed admiration for Chalabi’s involvement in the constitutional and democratic development of Iraq. The Prime Minister acknowledged Chalabi’s role in collaborating with political and national forces to navigate the country’s challenges, especially in combating terrorism and establishing a state governed by constitution and law.
