Baghdad The US State Department announced today, Monday, the imposition of sanctions on Iraqi, Lebanese and Syrian entities.

The US State Department said, in a press statement, that “the sanctions included Lebanese, Syrian and Iraqi entities, including the Iraqi Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades, and the Lebanese Hezbollah.”

It explained that “the entities concerned with the sanctions violated the ban on weapons of mass destruction in Iran, Syria and North Korea.”
